Delta?

What do you think of the name Delta for a girl?

Don't even know why I'm here, not pregnant yet but after finally getting dp to agree on a 3rd dc, I'm getting ahead of myself.

We have 2 ds's already and I really struggled with girls names for them before we found out they were boys.

Dp recently mentioned Delta for a girl and it's really growing on me.

It seems to roll off the tongue nicely, not every other child is called it but yet it's still a known name (yes?) with no spelling or pronunciation issues.

If I like Delta, what else may I like?

I love it!
I had a colleague who was going to use it, then didn't- I wish she had! (I am living vicariously through other people's babies, as I can't have any more )

Vita is similar I think.

What are your boys' names like? SOme things co-ordinate better than others.

Ds1 has an Old Testament name and ds2 has a name the same as a Scottish Island, so no theme to follow.

On my boys list is

Nico
Skylar
Ezekiel (zeke)

All of which I LOVE so no problems there Exocet choosing which one to use.

I think of the phonetic alphabet and the airline when I hear it, however Delta Goodrem carries it off !
I like Vita though !

The others just seem a bit... "Meh" to me.

I don't know what it is about Delta that appeals. When dp first mentioned it I gave him this face but the more I say it out loud, the more I love it.

I really like it. When I hear it I automatically think of the very talented Australian singer called Delta Goodrem, who was also in Neighbours. From what I've heard she's a lovely girl :)

Even though some of you have mentioned the airline being the first thing you think of, I'm still really liking the name. I mean it's not an offensive or negative association is it so not sure that it matters too much?

Still got Vita and Ottilie on the list now though.
