I like Sebastian but my problem with it is that I don't like any of the shortenings for it (Seb, Sebby, Bastian etc - they are all horribele IMO).

For that reason I vote for Jasper.

Sebastian. Definitely. It sounds very distinguished. I wouldn't worry about shortenings either - people might well not shorten it if he consistently uses his full name when introducing himself or talking on the phone - or even gently corrects people who shorten it.

I have a Clara and very nearly went for jasper. I know a few Sebs - getting very popular. So jasper for me

Jasper would go really well with Clara.

We went with a family name and it suits him but I still think jasper would have been better. !! Clara was a family name from 3 generations ago

Sebastian is really nice and sounds nice with Clara but I don't think it works with Mark as a mn..
