What do you think? Vince for short with vinnie as a pet name.

I wanted a Latin name as my other child has one, it means "prevailing" which I really like.

I like it. Classic, strong and not overused.

I LOVE Vincent! If this baby girl I'm having turns into a boy, I want to use Vincent.

It's underused in the UK, I think because of Vinnie Jones, but a kid's classmates aren't going to know who he is.

I'll be a bit sad if I don't get to use it one day :)

It's our favourite for a boy - so strong for a grown-up but also quite sweet for a little one. Like you say, Vinnie Jones will be a distant memory by the time they grow up, it;s just our generation who make the association

I love it, and as a not-so-secret geek, it always reminds me of Final Fantasy VII nostalgia (the character, and truly romantic, Vincent Valentine) and that makes me very happy. Go for it!
