Elsa or Elise?

Hi all, I'm new to this - expecting first one - and interested to hear opinions. We don't know whether we're having a boy or girl and names are a hot topic!

Our boy's name is pretty much decided (Alfred - and Fred for short, rather than Alfie).

Elsa has long been our favourite for a girl but I'm a bit put off by the recent Frozen association and Elise is now a possible alternative. The thing is that Elsa goes better with our surname (which has an 'ee' sound in it, as Elise does, so I think they might sound a bit matchy when put together) but just wondering whether there will be a significant rise in Elsa's popularity (only time will tell!) - plus without sounding snobby I really don't want people to assume we chose it because of the film! I know you shouldn't care...but...

Any thoughts appreciated :)

I honestly think the film slow down the naming of babies Elsa. Just as Prince George being born put people off naming their sons George. If you love the name go for it, it is only going to be popular for a short period of her life and after that people won't make the connection, or really what does it matter if they do?

I love Elsa, considering using it myself. The film connection doesn't put me off at all, tho I haven't actually seen it yet! I think by next year the craze will have died down.
