(sounds like a very hairy, sandal wearing folk quartet)

Something Arthurian. Lancelot, Percival, Galahad?

(I'm only joking. That said, Tristan, Percy and Lance actually don't sound strange together!)

JennyBlueWren · 01/08/2014 19:16

My brother's an Arthur. I know someone with Merlin as a middle name!
If you like Tristan, what about Christian?

lljkk · 01/08/2014 19:21

(I have a Tristan!)

I don't think of it as medieval, but if I had to go for equally appealing & somewhat medieval, what about

David, Arthur, Edgar (love this, actually), Gawain, John (be truly medieval & spell it Jhon), Seth, Lance

Blueberrybaby · 02/08/2014 10:15

I like Tristan, but DH crossed it off the list. I also like Thorsten, which I feel is similar, although Scandinavian I believe. Never had the guts to use it though.

Not sure if these are medieval or not but I see Tristan in the same camp as:

Percival
Wilbert
Jasper
Edmund
Barnaby
Jeremy
Victor
Edgar
Francis
Gerald
Lawrence
Julian
Emmet

We have a Tristan. His little brother was going to be Arthur or Dylan.
In the end little brother was a sister :)

Perkin

Why not go for medieval Frankish names?

Ansegisel
Grimoald
Pippin
Chilperic
Aunemund
Ado
Burgundofaro
Basinus
Chagneric
Ermebert
Ebroin
Chlothar
Omotarius
Fredegar
Leudegund
Ingofrid
Theudebert
Madelgar
Waratto
Gundoin

Quality names!

(Yes, I have just raided the prosopography at the back of my thesis, why do you ask?)

MollyBdenum · 05/08/2014 20:53

My phone just ate my very long list!

I have a Frankish name, and really like it, and so CarmineRose had inspired me to suggest Clovis.

Perhaps you could rehabilitate Roland which has been languishing unloved after being used by the fat kid from Grange Hill and a talking rat.

Also:
Sebastian
Geraint
Piers
Elias
Pelleas
Hector
Owen
Merlin
Ambrose
Bede
Urban
Rufus
Leander
Constantine
Alcuin
Gawain
