I like it

Mummyiwant · 31/07/2014 01:07

I love it, it's my youngest daughters name

drspouse · 31/07/2014 01:50

Like the wife in Breaking Bad?

doorbellringer · 31/07/2014 02:13

Yup drspouse exactly what I was thinking.

burgatroyd · 31/07/2014 06:43

Its pretty. Feels very modern and bright.

ShovettyMcShovetty · 31/07/2014 09:39

I really don't like it at all (sorry)! I look to be the only one though so feel free to ignore me! Grin

squoosh · 31/07/2014 10:39

I don't like it all. The kind of name a Z list American soap star would give their child.

Skye is nice though.

HerrenaHarridan · 31/07/2014 10:41

The serial killer in heroes is called skylar, the with in breaking bad is skyler.

BlewShews · 31/07/2014 10:47

Wasn't it also the name of the child in The Wolf of Wall Street?

badtime · 31/07/2014 11:34

The serial killer in 'Heroes' is 'Sylar', not 'Skylar'.

I don't like it (it sounds too American), but it's not my baby.

Leeds2 · 31/07/2014 11:59

I prefer Skye.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2014 12:02

Really don't like it, sorry.

KoalaDownUnder · 31/07/2014 12:05

I know I couple of girls called 'Skyla', spelled this way, which I prefer.

It's one of those names I'd never use but which I think is pretty.

Theonlyoneiknow · 31/07/2014 13:16

I love Skye, not so keen on Skylar

singersgirl · 31/07/2014 15:07

I've heard it before bu it seems a bit odd to me. It's like Skylon or Skylab so kind of sci fi, but also like Skylark without the final 'k'. Is it an Anglicized spelling of Schuyler (which is a surname but looks like a real word)?

TalcumPowder · 31/07/2014 16:03

I assume it is, singersgirl. I must say I don't like it at all - it has a kind of phoney sci-fi air about it, especially if your surname also starts with an 's'. Skye is much nicer.

Montsti · 31/07/2014 16:07

I don't like it at all...sorry! I think spelling it without the "r" would make it sound more feminine, Skyla...
