Girls name suggestions please!

We are 99% decided on a boys name (Reuben) but are really struggling for girls names. I liked Lila for a while but I don't think it's the one. Our surname is two syllables and begins and ends with L so I think it would be too much. I just can't find anything that I love.

Others that we like are;

Holly

Sadie (too popular?)

Elora (would people constantly think 'Laura'?)

Jemima (I don't like the shortened versions)

Norah (not sure)

Cassia

...What else might we like?

Thanks.

Nora is my favourite. I'm not sure I'd use a H. But saying that, I don't know what the traditional spelling is and I'm one to go for the most accepted spelling.

I like Nora very much. Vera feels similar.

If you're worried about number of 'l', then I'd rule out Holly and Elora.

I don't think Norah (gnawer) is a good choice either (sorry).

I think Jemima and Sadie are lovely (and I don't think the latter is that popular).

Cassia is OK, but I'd never choose a name with more than one pronunciation (as I know I wouldn't have the patience to correct over and over again. You're probably nicer than me).

weatherall · 27/07/2014 22:37

Sadie and Elora are good.

Do you like Nuria? Similar to Nora but more unusual.

Michonne · 28/07/2014 08:45

Thank you all for the suggestions. There are some lovely ones, but we can't use them as we already know some/they're too similar or they don't go with our surname.

I hadn't associated Nora(h) with gnawer before, that has put me off!

Any more suggestions? This is so hard. Chosing a boys name was easy!

Rainbow, I like Nina, Elise, Isla, India and Freya, but again none of them feel like 'the one'.
