Came across this name, belonging to a lovely teacher, recently and wondered what you all thought. I have never met anyone one with it before.

I haven't heard it before either and I have to say I don't like it!

Dontlaugh · 27/07/2014 17:00

Sounds like something or someone from Narnia. And not from the good side either.

MarieJeanne · 27/07/2014 17:07

Sorry, I don't like it. Makes me think of fornicate.

burgatroyd · 27/07/2014 17:51

IvyBeagle · 27/07/2014 18:43

At first I thought I was mishearing Thora or Thornia, it wasn't until I saw how it was written that I realised what the name really was!

I read a book once with a character called Fáinne (fawn-ya) and thought how pretty in was. I like it.

Castlemilk · 27/07/2014 22:22

Sister to Tumnus? Hmmm I don't think so.

Keepsake · 27/07/2014 22:35

I prefer Fauna - like the fairies in Sleeping Beauty.

Dontlaugh · 27/07/2014 22:36

I suppose Fauna would make a sister easy - Flora!

Keepsake · 27/07/2014 22:54

Triplets with Merryweather too?

I actually really like that!
