My second baby is due in November and will be a brother or sister to Lewis. My husband and I cannot agree on a single name and I'm hoping that some opinions/ suggestions from fellow mums may help us come up with something!

What are your favourite names from the following and can you think of any others we might like?

Alexandra
Cora (worried this rhymes with pakora and might be an unwanted nickname)
Lila

Oliver
Charlie
Keir

I love Cora and Lila.
I don't like Alexandra because it will be shortened to Alex and i'm not keen on unisex names.

Names similar to these:
Alexa
Alicia
Coral
Lola
Lilia (Top of my list.. i'm due in November too!)

I love all of your boys names so I'm not much help there.. all I will say is I know a lot of Charlie's.. boys and girls so don't know if that is a concern for you! And I don't know any Keir's!

Names similar to these and boys names I considered:
Zachary
Noah
Kai
Keian
Alexander
Arther
Asher

Cora is much more likely to be linked to Dora the Explorer than pakora. But I do love it though.

Sorry not much there.

What about Kirsten?

hlc123 · 26/07/2014 21:38

I love Lila and Keir.

Rhubarbgarden · 26/07/2014 22:13

Love Keir

BlueChampagne · 26/07/2014 23:19

DH voted against Lewis in favour of Aidan if that's any help, but Keir is fab too. Also like Conrad. Corinna was on our girl list.

I had a one night stand with a Keir. He was hawt! Grin

Cora I think is great, very pretty. You can get a nickname from any name, I wouldn't let it put you off too much. Don't like Lila.

Cora and Oliver are my favourites from your list. Some others you might like:

Elizabeth
Darcy
Gabrielle/Gabriella
Megan
Eleanor

Jacob
Caleb
Nathaniel
Liam
Oscar

Thanks everyone for your opinions and suggestions, keep them coming! I do like caleb but know someone who has also called their child that so it had put me off! Trying hard to convince hubby on keir but he still isn't having it! :(

Are you Irish / Scottish?
What a bout
tadgh (pronounced tige)
Rory

Lewismummy2202 · 05/08/2014 19:12

Hi there I'm Scottish. Not sure about those names, but thank you for the suggestions! I think I'm overly fussy, it's very tricky!

I have a Ciar instead of Keir if that persuades him :)

Take it you don't want to go down the matching Island route?

e.g. Harris, Iona, Rhona, Skye, Ailsa etc

Lorna is my favourite Scottish girls name at the moment but looking at your list it's not going to be to your taste.

What about:

Carla
Carys
Ciara

Finlay
Fraser
Freddie

Alexandra and Oliver by a long way.

I do think Lila is pretty and don't mind Charlie. I don't like Keir at all and find Cora so "of the moment" and pretentious. Sorry but it comes up on these threads often and seems to be a mumsnet favourite - whether it's ever actually used I don't know.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/08/2014 20:51

Cora and Oliver. Don't like Lila or Keir.
