Help needed with girls name

DD is due in a couple of months and we can't get our long list any shorter. There are lots of names we quite like but nothing jumping out at us. We want something that fits nicely with DS's name, Isaac and our surname is two syllables starts with S, rhymes with Bar-key.

I ruled out a lot of girls names ending in ie/ey at first as they sounded a bit sing songy or rhymey but thinking again now!

Please can you give me your thoughts on the following or suggest anything else we may have not thought of?

Astrid
Ella
Freya
Hannah
Heidi
Isabelle
Jasmine
Libby
Lola
Layla
Mia
Millie
Nancy
Nell
Scarlett
Sadie
Willow

Heidi and Jasmine are my favorites of those.

Does your DS have a nickname? Thinking maybe Zoe, Zara, Xanthe etc might fit too

I think having two or three contenders too see what suits her when she arrives is a good idea. I would shorten your list to

Hannah ( can be nn Nancy)
Elizabeth ( can be nn Libby or many others)
Isabelle ( matches to Isaac )

I do like Astrid/Freya/Heidi if I had to pick it would probably be Freya. Heidi got the ee sound you don't want and Astrid very strong sounding with your surname.

I love Libby, Freya and Mia. I also love Sadie but "S" can be a difficult letter for alliterative names.

Thanks for the suggestions. Isaac doesn't have a nickname, not one that relates to his real name anyway! Although he has been called Zak by a few people.

Zoe and Zara are both nice. And my name is up there in your suggestions Stampy! Many nicknames but would prefer her to have her own name on the birth certificate so probably would choose one of the nicknames rather than the full name and then shorten it.

Sadie is gorgeous but I do worry it's a bit difficult to say. Especially if she had a lisp!

I may have to work on DH with Freya. I love it but he's not too keen.

I love Astrid.

Is Nancy really a nn for Hannah? I've never heard that before...

I really like Freya too, it'd be on our list for definite if it wasn't for surname beginning with F…definitely work on him Wink

I love Scarlett and Ella off your list too Smile
