Dh and I have narrowed our choices down to the following (I use narrowed in the loosest sense of the word!) help me whittle them down!
Girls:
Francesca
Valentina
Serena
Aurelia
Delilah
Willow
Darcy
Imogen
Ariana

Boys:
Harry
Isaac
Joseph
Samuel
Aiden
Felix
Jenson
Nathan
Jude
Austin

Girls middle name is likely to be Grace and boys most likely George (after ds) we have a short surname beginning with B.

Francesca is beautiful, underused and Fran is a phenomenal nickname.

Squtternutbaush · 19/07/2014 19:58

Girls - Francesca or Darcy.

Boys - Nathan or Isaac.

Although in my humble opinion I wouldn't use sibling name for middle name, mainly because my friend has her sisters middle name and felt like it was a kind of tribute/living in the shadow of type thing.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/07/2014 20:05

Darcy or Imogen

Samuel or Isaac or Jude

Not Austin or Jenson.

Not Aurelia, Jenson, Austin or Nathan

Wishfulmakeupping · 19/07/2014 20:14

I like Francesca and Jude best

Viviennemary · 19/07/2014 20:18

Of the girls I like Aurelia best though it isn't a name I've heard very often. I don't know any. I actually much much prefer the middle name Grace above all the other names. As for boys list I like Joseph best.

Rhubarbgarden · 19/07/2014 20:19

I love Jude and Austin.

Your girls' names are a bit frilly fort taste, but Willow is nice.

Rhubarbgarden · 19/07/2014 20:19

Fort: for my

LadyWithLapdog · 19/07/2014 20:21

I like:
Francesca
Valentina
Serena
Aurelia

Boys:
Harry
Aiden

Lucked · 19/07/2014 20:21

Lovely names, if I am being picky...

I struggle with Aurelia, I always have to stop and think but my tongue seems to get in the way when I say it. I would worry about 'Tina' with Valentina.

Henson and Austin aren't for me. Aidan is lower down the list too.

The best are Francesca, Darcy, Felix and Jude.

If you use Darcy I would give her a non unisex middle name.

IsabellaRoarsome · 19/07/2014 20:23

Squatter it's a family tradition amongst the boys in my family to have their elder brothers name as their middle name sorry should have put that in op!
Francesca is my favourite and Aurelia is dh's!
Should mention we also have a dd called Isabella so would be nice if it fit in with her name too.

Lucked I adore Valentina but hate 'val' and 'Tina' as nicknames! Confused

Squtternutbaush · 19/07/2014 20:32

Oh I see, I think her parents just wanted to include her sibling :o

I mis-read Aurelia as Areola Blush

sandberry · 19/07/2014 20:33

Girls:
Francesca- great, just check you like the nicknames Fran, Cesca, Frankie
Valentina- not if you don't like Val or Tina
Serena- nice name but what if she is far from serene
Aurelia- posh are you?
Delilah- the song puts me off
Willow- lovely name but getting popular and will she be Willowy?
Darcy- too many spellings Darcie etc and also getting popular
Imogen- ok
Ariana- love it

Boys:
Harry- super popular but fine
Isaac- great name, great meaning very popular
Joseph- nice, do you like Joe?
Samuel-love it but again very popular
Aiden- nice, would personally spell it Aidan
Felix- great name, great meaning, some people may think of cats
Jenson-Button
Nathan- fine
Jude- fine, trendy
Austin - a car

turdfairynomore · 19/07/2014 20:37

Felix was our boy choice but we got a Francesca instead! I love it. She loves it-and she's 19 now! She's ches or chessie to family. Franks or Frankie on sports field but would always introduce herself as Francesca.

Out of your girls I like Imogen, Francesca and Delilah. Delilah is so pretty!

Sophronia · 20/07/2014 19:57

Aurelia or Valentina, and Nathan or Isaac.

ralinax294 · 26/07/2014 20:41

From your girls list my favourites are Francesca, Darcy and Ariana and from your boys list Isaac, Samuel and Aiden (but prefer the spelling Aidan) :)

Lewismummy2202 · 26/07/2014 20:43

Whittled a bit -

Willow
Imogen
Ariana

Isaac
Joseph
Samuel

Shockingundercrackers · 29/07/2014 11:40

With apologies to any MNers who've already done it... Please (as a lady of ample thigh myself) don't call a baby that has any possibility of being on the chunky side "willow". It's just not fair.

FWIW, the best test of baby names: would you want to be called that yourself?

PS Francesca is a gorgeous name and yes, I would. Also Sam. Joe and Jude (all v cool)
