Boy name help for ds2

I'm struggling for boys names. Ds1 is F inlay.
Does Matthew John go? As a name as well as with DS1 name? I think I'm struggling more on middle names tbh but John is kind of a family name.
Other names on list so far are Reuben, Rory, Lewis and I like Noah but think it might be too over used.

Noah is adorable with Finlay. How about Rex?

SweetPeaPods · 18/07/2014 21:33

Ds had a dog called Rex.

Matthew is great. I really like Reuben and Noah as well. Not sure about Rory, it makes me think of the racing car.

John is a good middle name will go with any of the names.

Happy36 · 19/07/2014 02:19

Finlay is a beautiful name.

So are Rory, Lewis or John so I´d pick any of those (or combine them as first name and middle name(s) in any order but "John Lewis"!)

Noah is exceedingly popular and I think the other 3 names match better with Finlay, (particularly Lewis and Rory).

I don´t like Reuben, apologies. (Also he might have to put up with a lifetime of misspellings, which I don´t wish upon anyone).

Kamelia1 · 19/07/2014 02:19

I like Noah best

stayingdry · 19/07/2014 04:22

finlay is a lovely name. l like Rory, but then i am biased, my eldest son's name, and get alot of great comments because its unusual but not unheard of if that makes senseAngry

Kantha · 19/07/2014 07:10

I like Matthew John the most as a stand alone name.

I think Finley goes best with Lewis.

I think Finley and Rory sound too samey because of the "ee" ending.

Not that keen on Reuben and Noah. They are both quite of the moment and so they may date in twenty years.

RabbitSaysWoof · 19/07/2014 21:23

Love Noah but true its everywhere what about Jonah?

Bowlersarm · 19/07/2014 21:26

Matthew John is great.

I don't like Reuben or Lewis.

Louis?

Quite like Rory.

Topsyloulou · 19/07/2014 22:38

DP is Matthew John, think it's a classic name. I call him MJ for short as he is a Matthew and not a Matt.

Rory and Reuben are both on our list as is Rufus, not sure if you've considered it.

They all go great with john as a middle name.

Skiingmaniac · 19/07/2014 22:45

Had dd (second dc) been a boy she'd have been Finlay and my ds (first born) is Zach.

Squirm · 20/07/2014 11:28

I have a Finlay and a Louis, so good suggestion Bowlersarm!

Finlay and Rory are brilliant together.

Noah is everywhere at the moment and I am not keen on Reuben.

Other suggestions. ..

Angus
Felix
Arthur
Elijah
Ezra
Barnaby

I like Matthew John the best.

Teds77 · 21/07/2014 09:54

I have a Matthew and I couldn't imagine a better name for my DS. Matthew John is great too. My Matthew has his Grandad's name as his middle name so if John has meaning to you then use it.

Matthew's have smiles that melt your heart and the loveliest little voices that say 'Hand please Mummy!' when you are wondering around together Grin.
