Dd2 has vowel name and I do love it... But I think consonant starting names are a bit more distinctive. Beth very popular.
So I vote Ramona

Anya is my favourite. Also like Ramona and Izzy (but would use Isabel, Ishbel or Isabella on birth certificate)

Not keen on Beth or Inara

florascotia · 11/07/2014 21:16

Anya, Beth and Isabel/Ishbel etc all very nice.

Inara may be an ancient Hittite goddess (or god)*, but nowadays the name belongs to a courtesan in Firefly. Your choice, of course, but I'd be a bit wary of giving a real human baby a name linked to a passing entertainment.

RiverTam · 11/07/2014 21:19

what's a 'passing entertainment' - Firefly/Serenity, whilst only lasting a season, is a pretty well-respected show with a huge fanbase.

Inara is probably my favourite on your list, thought I'm not all that keen on most of them. Ramona is very rock-chick!

iamdivergent · 11/07/2014 21:36

I love Firefly/Serenity Wink Grin as much as I love Inara I have dd2 who has an ara at the end of her name so it's probably a no go
