Thinking of Darcey or Amber but getting very mixed views from friends and family.

Mostly want to avoid one or both if they are already very popular so all feedback welcome.

Amber is gorgeous, not popular at all

Ooo I like Darcey the most out of these 2. Not popular as far as i'm aware unless Darcey Bustle has caused a rise in popularity.

RabbitSaysWoof · 10/07/2014 22:43

They are both popular but both very nice.

RainbowB7 · 10/07/2014 22:49

I don't think amber is popular. Haven't heard of one for years!

scarletforya · 10/07/2014 22:51

I prefer Amber. I only know one, she's adorable!

ButterflyOfFreedom · 10/07/2014 23:09

I know one of each - an Amber aged 3 and a Darcey aged 2.
I wouldn't say either are particularly popular and both are nice - though prefer Amber (just!).

Sophronia · 10/07/2014 23:56

Not really keen on either but Darcey is slightly better.

MintSource · 11/07/2014 10:57

Many thanks to everyone so far - really helpful. My DH has ruled out some of my more unusual choices so from the shortlist I'd prefer to avoid hearing the same name called all over the playground/nursery/school.

Also Darcey seems to be a great divider!

Amber is no 60 in England and Wales, Darcey is no 89 and rising. Details here:

Marcie

There's an Amber in Neighbours. She's annoying though so it probably won't affect the popularity of the name.

The only Darcey I know is 15.
