What do you think? He would mostly be called Alex.

I have one just like that - using Alexander more now as he gets older- he's 12 . Still love it .

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 04/07/2014 18:17

Favourite boy's name, never got a chance to use it as had girls. Love it.

McBear · 04/07/2014 18:19

Love it

AnguaResurgam · 04/07/2014 18:19

Lovely name!

mrsnec · 04/07/2014 18:24

I like it a lot too. Would be on my shortlist for a boy too if our surname didn't end in 'er'

Trinpy · 04/07/2014 18:31

I have a 3 month old Alexander Smile . Love the name still. Works for any age group, lots of shortenings, can't see it becoming horribly dated in 20 years time.

BlueChampagne · 04/07/2014 22:47

Would have had one had friends not beaten us to it!

Nereida · 04/07/2014 23:16

Love it. Wish I could use it but dp prefers it as a middle name.

Teabiscuits · 04/07/2014 23:54

I have a 1 yr old Alexander - he's just Alex to us most the time.
Good choice!

MagratGarlik · 04/07/2014 23:57

I have one. Love it. It's classic, won't date and isn't so much subject to trends. I like Alec as a shortened version too, but dp didn't.

DogCalledRudis · 05/07/2014 10:56

My grandfather is Alexander, everybody calls him Sasha or Sania

IWannaHoldYourHand · 05/07/2014 11:34

I have a 3 year old Alexander. Everybody shortens it to something different. He asks people to use Panda or Alexander.

TessOfTheFurbyvilles · 05/07/2014 11:34

I love it. It's the name of DS2 (who is almost 8).

He goes by Lex.
