Just that really Smile

I love both but am leaning slightly towards Oscar nn Ozzy. DH also loves both but has a slight preference for Sebastian nn Seb. Older brother is Thomas and middle names will be Robert John.

I prefer Sebastian/Seb.

I like Oscar, and I normally love shortened names, but I'm really not keen on Ozzy. I can't imagine cute baby Ozzy, energetic toddler Ozzy, or cool teen Ozzy.

Oh really? I thought Ozzy was sweet!

I love Ozzy/Oz but don't like Oscar much. I know a toddler and teen Ozzy it suits them fine.

I like Sebastian too, the one I know is Sebby and it is a great name.

Not much help am I Grin

TEACUP123 · 01/07/2014 12:23

Sebastian! It is a nice classic name. Oscar is too popular and has a less nice sound

flowerpowers · 01/07/2014 15:12

I like both names but really dislike Ozzy and Seb (sebacious) or Basty (bastard). From the two I'd choose least likely to get shortened, probably Oscar (although as others have said, Oscar is fairly trendy).

turdfairynomore · 01/07/2014 15:19

I like Sebastian. My son goes to school with one and he gets called "Asti"-I thought it was after cheap sparkling wine for ages and was struggling to see the link!!!

rachel234 · 01/07/2014 15:32

asti spumante Grin very funny.

I prefer Sebastian but agree that the nicknames aren't great - Seb sounds so weak and Basty too close to bastard. But if you like the nicknames, then why not?

Floggingmolly · 01/07/2014 15:33

Sebastian. There are too many Oscars about these days, they're bloody everywhere!

Nereida · 01/07/2014 16:14

Sebastian. Oscar is so popular at the moment.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/07/2014 19:51

Love both, but dislike both Ozzy and Seb.

CPtart · 01/07/2014 20:06

Sebastian

Flipflops7 · 01/07/2014 21:11

I knew a Sebastian whose nns were Bass and Bassy, short a. Suited him as a teen.

ballinacup · 02/07/2014 11:45

I think Sebastian may be winning by a nose.

I know a Sebastian who is called 'Bastian' or 'Bas' (pron. Baz)

Actually, I really like your chosen middle names: Robert John. Both strong, unfussy, and not over-used.

LucyStafford · 02/07/2014 12:03

Oscar.

BlueStarsAtNight · 02/07/2014 12:04

I prefer Sebastian, though think Oscar goes slightly better with Thomas.

Yorkshirelassreturns · 02/07/2014 19:45

Sebastian. Lovely name. Oscar is a dog's name in my world- sorry! Congratulations by the way!

vapourviper · 02/07/2014 19:48

Prefer Sebastian, agree that Oscar is trendy.

LucyStafford · 02/07/2014 19:51

Yorkshirelass dogs names are Shep, Major and Prince.
The likes of Oscar, Charlie and Cassie are human names that have been used by people to call their dogs. Slightly different.

Ludways · 02/07/2014 19:53

I know brothers Oscar and Sebastian. I prefer Sebatian, Oscar is pretty popular but I don't really like it anyway.

I know 3 Sebastian's but none in this country.

MummyBeerest · 02/07/2014 19:55

With those middle names and sibling, I'd say Sebastian.

Allalonenow · 02/07/2014 19:57

Sebastian would be my choice, super name.
Oscar is hugely popular just now.

CharlesRyder · 02/07/2014 20:05

I have an Oscar an would say it is everywhere to a ludicrous degree. We had no idea it would be like this when we named DS.

If you like the nn Ozzy maybe go for Oswin? Same nn, uncommon but real name.

I like Sebastian but dislike Seb.

Mrsfullhouse · 03/07/2014 11:35

Going to throw in Austin nn Ozzy?
Oscar is a little overdone and Sebastian rapidly heading into that league?
