I'm 35+3, and we don't know the sex of the baby.
For a boy, we want the middle name Jay, for a girl, we want the middle name Anne (both family names)
Surname begins with b and is 3 syllables, think along the lines of Birmingham.
I like names like Grace, Olive, Arthur, Thomas.
DH doesn't but isn't really sure what he likes, except he loves Elijah, which I like but don't love. And also Elijah Jay.. Does it work? (Soft J)
Can anyone think of any names we may like as it's getting close but nothing seems to be the one?
Thanks for any ideas!

How about Elliott?

If I had a 3 syllable surname beginning with B I would avoid first names beginning with B and would think a 2 syllable name would work best. I would also avoid a first name beginning with J for a boy and a first name beginning with A for a girl to avoid alliteration with the middle name.

So:
Caleb
Adam
Leo
Noah
Henry / Harry
Isaac
Reuben
Casper
Francis
Rory

Martha
Freya
Megan
Lucy
Georgia
Mabel
Rachel
Scarlett
Ruby
Lola

I agree with Butterfly's 'rules', though I would add that I wouldn't have a name end in B for a boy or A for a girl, they would be really awkward to say. I think 2 or 3 syllables will work- 1 syllable sounds too short with a 1 syllable middle name.

Thanks everyone for suggestions. A lot of the names listed here, one of us has mentioned and the other isn't sure on. So we're on the right track i suppose, we just have to agree now lol
