Iv been struggling to find a middle name to go with Phoebe for months and months. Baby due in 3 weeks.
What does everyone think of

Phoebe Emilia June (the June bit is after my nan)

Thanks xx

DP just suggested Emilia as a first name but I think it's far far too popular there are lots of Amelia's and Amelie's around here, I think she would forever be correcting it's E pronunciation and also I still prefer Phoebe

Lovely choice. Great names and it flows really well. I guess there is a risk of people spelling Phoebe as Pheobe, but I'd still go for it.

Littleturkish · 29/06/2014 12:08

I'm thinking of using Phoebe, with Ann as a middle name.

Oriunda · 29/06/2014 12:56

Nice names and they flow well.

Purplecircle · 29/06/2014 12:58

Phoebe is my favourite girls name

DiamondsAndRust · 29/06/2014 13:38

Very pretty - think those names go very well together. Like Phoebe - it's one of those names that's quite popular
but never feels overused iyswim.

Grin Thanks ladies - DP thinks the MN approval on names is more important than his lol - my reply well yes I can talk to them at 4am when your snoring

I'd just go for Phoebe June and drop the Emilia. Phoebe Emilia is too much of a mouthful.

justhayley · 30/06/2014 18:21

Thanks Rubarb, a lot of people have said that when iv posted other middle names over the last 9 months, and I see where your coming from it being a bit of a mouthful.
However I really want 2 middle names. Am still very very open to suggestions if you have any ideas - my brain has officially stopped working!

I second phoebe june

Pico2 · 30/06/2014 20:00

I prefer Phoebe Emilia June to Phoebe June. Though it is a bit hard to tell without a surname.

Benchmark · 30/06/2014 20:09

Think Phoebe Emilia June is perfect Smile much prettier than just Phoebe June IMO. Phili is a potential nn!

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 30/06/2014 20:12

Dd was going to be phoebe Nell. But phoebe Nell June doesn't sound right so is stick with your original choice. How often do you give out your name in full including middle names anyway?

DramaAlpaca · 30/06/2014 21:43

I think it's beautiful.

Rhubarbgarden · 30/06/2014 22:27

I've been mulling this over. I think that the reason Phoebe Emilia is a mouthful is the 'ee' ending of Phoebe being followed by the 'ee' beginning of Emilia. Also, if you must have two middle names, Emilia is just too long.

I would put June after Phoebe, then add a two syllable name which has the stress on the second syllable, as that flows nicely. I'd avoid names beginning with a vowel as the 'n' sound at the end of June runs into them - eg June Elise sounds like Ju Nelise.

So, some suggestions which I think have a similar vibe to Emilia:

Phoebe June Cecile
Phoebe June Delphine
Phoebe June Simone
Phoebe June Celeste

Maleducada · 30/06/2014 22:30

I love Phoebe June.

Emilia in the middle creates a back log of ee ee sounds

Alita7 · 30/06/2014 22:43

I like it :) Maybe Phoebe Amelia June to relieve the e sounds?

Spindelina · 01/07/2014 09:10

Phoebe June Emilia

flows better, to my ear.

ViviPru · 01/07/2014 16:33

Phoebe June is perfect.

TidyDancer · 02/07/2014 00:14

Beautiful names, and they go very well together. :)

AnsonsVoyageRoundTheWorld · 02/07/2014 01:42

I prefer Phoebe June Emilia but I don't think it matters too much. Both options are lovely. Apart from when babies are born people don't really pay much attention to middle names.

I doubt anyone except for my family even knows what mine is.

I agree with the poster who said Phoebe Emilia is a bit 'ee-ee' sounding. I like the harder sounding June after Phoebe. I actually think by having the Pheobe in front of the June it makes June a really cool name.
