What do people think of these names .. any honest advice welcome please :-)

Girl - Lucia Eleanour - pronounced Lu-CH-a
Boy- Lucian James - pronounced Lu-CH-an

Lucia is pronounced loo-chEE-a in Italian. The male Italian version is Luciano, not Lucian.

I like Lucia. It has meanings of light and brightness. I don't like Luciano as much.

I like Lucia (although I agree with peppinagiro I have only ever heard it pronounced Lu-chee-a or Loosha like St Lucia.

Same with Lucian, have only ever heard of Luciano or Lucian pronounced Loo-shan which I think I also like.

So basically I like both the names but not with the pronunciation you have said as I think most people will pronounce them differently which could annoy you all the time!
