I love old traditional names but my OH likes modern.

I like Ivy and Elsa but OH likes Hallie/Halle

Middle name will be Lilian or Lily.

You need a name you both like! Keep looking there will be one out there for you.

Some of the traditional names that are not used often might fit the bill for you both. I like Blythe for a girl and it's a really old name but unusual. I also came across Torin for a boy recently again really old but not used much so sounds fresher and "newer".

It all depends on the name. Hallie is more interesting than other two IMO but prefer Callie, short for Callista.

Hattie short for Harriet?

My niece mentioned the name Elsa I think because of Frozen. So I can imagine it being very popular I do like Harriet it was on my shortlist but OH said no.

Surely if you don't both like the name you move on and try to find one you do both like? That's what we did. Then again, my parents had a row about my name as they could not agree, and my mum rushed out to register it before my dad could stop her (they divorced not long after that) so perhaps I'm a little bit particular about this!

Elsa reminds me of the lady that adopted everyone on Home and Away. Or was she Ailsa?

Only Elsa would go with Lily, the rest would match Lillian better.

Hallie is an old nickname for Harriet (in the same way that 'Hal' was used as a nickname for Henry/Harry.)

Agree with other posters that ideally a name that you both like is best.
