Not preganant or even thinking about it yet but I love the name Jarvis. Have expressed the opinion to DP that if (this is a very big if, in our 30s and biological clock has yet to kick in for either of us) we did have a child and it was a boy I would like to call him Jarvis. He nearly laughed til he cried, recounted this to my mum and she had prety much the same reaction.

What's wrong with Jarvis Confused *

*apart from the old Newman and Baddiel sketch but surely that's long gone now

(and yes, I am a Pulp fan)

yay! there should be more Jarvises and I probably will never get to use it, which is a shame as DP has a fecker of a surname but Jarvis would be perfect for it.

Nothing wrong with Jarvis at all! Its a genuinely slightly unusual name without being made up.

Also love it - one of my favourite boy's names!

squoosh · 12/06/2014 14:48

It's a cool name, earthy and solid.

Love the idea of him and his mum laughing till they cried though!

Isn't Jarvis a surname?

I think of her if I hear Jarvis: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Jarvis

Blueberrybaby · 12/06/2014 15:42

I know a Jarvis in his 30s. Suits him very well. It's nice.

ExcuseTypos · 12/06/2014 15:44

I like it. Always think of Cocker- who I love.

Go and get preggers right now!
