first name for middle name Lilian/Lily

Me and my OH are expecting a little girl at the end of august. He has chosen his late nana's name which is Lilian for the middle name but because he called her Lily, baby's middle name will either be Lilian or Lily. I'm struggling to find a name that goes with it as a first name. Every name I mention my mother in law pulls the I hate it face. Help please I'll take any suggestions

I like it and if this baby is a girl (hopefully find out next week :D) she will be Liliana.

My DD has Lily for her great nana too! She's a Bethan Lily

I think to be honest that you need to avoid anything g with an l in the last syllable, as they just sound awkward with Lily/Lilian

eg Alice Lily and Charley Lily don't roll off the tongue easily, but Matilda Lily is fine as the l sound is earlier in the name.

Keep it to yourselves, then the name you finally settle on won't run the risk of being spoiled for you. Nowt to do with MIL. Stop involving her.
