Hello
Hoping to get some suggestions for a girls name ideally to go with the middle name Nicola, and we do have a little boy called Logan so would be nice if went well with that too, but me and the oh just cant seem to agree. He seems to like Evie Nicola but not sure if Evies getting too popular now, any help would be appreciated thanks :)

Evie is very popular, depends if the likelihood of her being one of many bothers you.

You don't say what type of names you or DH like, some examples would help.
Try the website 'named together' as a starting point, it lists the top 100, 200 or 500 names and you seperately pick any you'd consider using. Make a rule that you each pick at least 20 names from the 500 and see what cross-over you come up with.
I sympathise, I had "the name" in my head and was v upset when DH vetoed it. It's difficult to compromise! We used the site and came up with two names Confused from the 500, one of which we gave our daughter, then we each chose a middle name.

thanks for your reply i'll take a look but to be honest im not really sure what i want. I loved the name Eloise but think its too much of a mouthful with Nicola, other names that have been floating around are Amelia, Amelie, Isabelle and Jasmine. Again i just dont want anything thats too popular but dont want something thats too out there :/

Elodie Nicola?
Bryony Nicola
Catherine Nicola sounds lovely.
Rosemary?
Katherine (Katy)
Evangeline?

If you like Eloise I would use it. How often are people going to say 'Eloise Nicola' together?

If you are keen on the two names sounding good together then Nicola Eloise sounds great? And Nicola is quite underused at the moment, in my opinion.

I'd avoid another name ending in -a, and too many 'n's. Attempting to follow the 'not too popular but not too way out' brief, how about:

Frances Nicola
Miriam Nicola
Celeste Nicola
Felicity Nicola
Judith Nicola
Zoe Nicola

What about Neve (or Niamh) ? I think the two names would flow nicely together - Neve Nicola. It's also similar sound to Evie which your husband likes.

Lucy.
Lucy Nicola was my best friend at primary school and I thought it was the most beautiful name ever.

I know siblings Evie and Logan Smile
How about;
Poppy Nicola
Emily Nicola
Sarah Nicola
Beatrice (Bea) Nicola
Gracie Nicola

TheRedQueen · 05/06/2014 17:13

Would you consider Nicole instead?

I think Carlotta Nicole sounds rather nice.

lljkk · 05/06/2014 17:29

I think a single syllable first name would be nicest, like Ann-Faye-Claire.

FiveExclamations · 05/06/2014 17:31

For some reason I see it combined with a longish first name.

Prudence Nicola
Penelope Nicola
Gwendoline Nicola
Charlotte Nicola
Coraline Nicola
Vivienne Nicola
Colette Nicola
Rosamund Nicola
Ariadne Nicola
Adrianne Nicola
Evangeline Nicola
Igraine Nicola
