Baby Due Tomorrow! Help!

SparklyMonkeyMummy · 05/06/2014 06:57

Hi,

I have posted here for help with naming our DD2. Well her due date is tomorrow (reckon she will be late though!) and we have two options which I was hoping people could vote for their favourite. They are:

  1. Persephone May
  2. Persephone Ailsa

Our surname is 2 syllables and starts with E.

Thank you

I think Persephone May flows better. Hope she doesn't keep you waiting too long!

I like Persephone May better, even though I'm not mad keen on May as a name.

(Fab name BTW - I am feeding a 10wo Persephone as so type Grin)

SparklyMonkeyMummy · 05/06/2014 09:19

Thanks Hopefully Grin I must say I am slightly jealous, I am desperate for baby to be here now!

I know May is hugely popular right now, and I was also worried people may think we stuck it in there thinking she may have been a May baby. However it was my Gran's middle name, and after loosing her to cancer last year it has special meaning to us.

I think May is the better option because of your Nan but I much prefer Ailsa as a name. Beware of the 'Persephone may but then again she may not ' jokes :)

MrsBungle · 06/06/2014 11:00

I prefer ailsa.

thegreylady · 06/06/2014 11:00

I like plain nameas after fancy ones so if it were me, which it isn't, I'd go for Mary or Jane or Anna as mn.

manicinsomniac · 06/06/2014 11:02

Persephone Ailsa.

Both are beautiful but May is such a popular middle name and Ailsa is unusual and gorgeous.

evertonmint · 06/06/2014 11:08

My DD's middle name is May after DH's grandma who died a few weeks before our first child, DS, was born. I don't honestly care if people think it's yet another boring May-as-middle-name type choice: it's after somebody we loved, and who would have loved being a great gran to our DCs. That is worth more than any random middle name that isn't common but has no personal meaning - I would use Persephone May given the family importance (plus it flows better than Ailsa)

manicinsomniac · 06/06/2014 12:05

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't read your second post about you having the family reason to use May. It sounds lovely with Persephone and, if has meaning to you that Ailsa doesn't, then I've changed my mind; go with May.

soontobeslendergirl · 06/06/2014 12:11

Could you have both?

Persephone Ailsa May E

If pushed, I prefer Ailsa but would go with May for the family reasons.

InfiniteJest · 06/06/2014 12:53

Persephone May flows better. Lovely name!

Viatrix · 06/06/2014 13:07

I prefer Persephone Ailsa.

littlesupersparks · 06/06/2014 13:12

Persephone Ailsa May xx

skinmysunshine · 06/06/2014 13:19

I prefer Persephone May. It flows better imo.

Montsti · 06/06/2014 13:36

Persephone May works better. Good luck - hope she arrives soon!

DitzyDonkey · 06/06/2014 14:38
