Having finally agreed on which name for dd6.we now can't agree on which spelling .they say opposites attract but but this is ridiculous . how we've managed to organise anything over the last 20+ years I really don't know.

So Cecelia or Cecilia

I spent my childhood spelling my name - and since I married my surname - so I would never give a child anything but the usual spelling of a name.

The second one as that's how most people will assume it's spelt (I've never seen the first spelling). If you use the first spelling you and she will be correcting people all the time.

Cecilia. I think the other way looks a bit clumsy, with the repetition of the 1st two letters. (Apologies to any Cecelias! However it's spelt, it sounds lovely.

Had you considered Celia?

Brilliant all bar one have gone with my preferred spelling .i will show this dh and hope he agrees .
