I think I may Confused have found a good name to go with my ds Eli....Jude....what do you think? It's a little more popular than I would like but not here in Ireland.

Other contenders I have mentioned in previous threads are

Cassius
Arlo
Ezra
Asa
Rex

I'm still not certain but have plenty of time to think as I'm only around 8 weeks.

If its a dd I'm thinking Flora!

Jude is a great name. My brothers son has this name. Smile

squoosh · 31/05/2014 15:14

Jude is one of my very favourite names.

Softlysoftlycatchymonkey · 31/05/2014 15:15

Love it

DramaAlpaca · 31/05/2014 15:16

Absolutely love Jude, and it goes really well with Eli.

mummy1973 · 31/05/2014 15:20

Love it.

Vajazzler · 31/05/2014 15:36

Love it!

FortyFacedFuckers · 31/05/2014 15:38

I love Jude It was on my list for DS but DP didn't like it

JonSnowKnowsNothing · 31/05/2014 15:39

I LOVE Jude.
Never wanted kids but if I did, Jude would be my top name.

gertiegusset · 31/05/2014 15:40

Good name.

HecatePropylaea · 31/05/2014 15:40

I like it. I have a niece who has it as a middle name. It's a nice name.

ThingsThatShine · 31/05/2014 16:02

I think it goes well with Eli and is a nice name. Is Eli just Eli (no longer name?) if so just Jude works well. If Eli has a longer name I would maybe put a longer name for Jude (Julian?) with Jude as nickname.

DitzyDonkey · 31/05/2014 17:00

Yeah Eli is just Eli

If you have a DD you can still use Jude. I know a few Judes (short for Judith) and no male Judes (must be a bit obscure. Sorry)

Flora? What, like the margarine? (Might as well get used to it now. No I wouldn't have said that before reading the thread about it.)

I like Arlo, Cassius and Ezra a lot too. Rex has been over used as a dog's name in popular fiction, I think.

RoseberryTopping · 31/05/2014 19:52

Love it - it's on our shortlist :)

gertiegusset · 31/05/2014 20:21

Jude's a boys name.
Judith's get shortened to Jude but Jude is an actual boys name.

Think 'Hey Jude' and St Jude (patron St of lost causes I think!)

gertiegusset · 31/05/2014 20:22

And Jude in 'Jude the obscure' is a young man.

DitzyDonkey · 31/05/2014 20:57

My dh and I have been chatting and he said his favourites are Jude, Asa and Arlo! So I think it will definitely be one of those three. Yes yegods Flora like the margarine Grin Wink, tbh the connection doesn't bother us it is such a beautiful name!

Love it! Though I just asked my DH and he doesn't, but that's even more reason to go for it, he knows nothing!

Angelto5 · 31/05/2014 21:21

My dm suggested the name 2 my brother after thinking of famous good looking blokes & Jude law was mentioned!!!Smile

DitzyDonkey · 31/05/2014 21:21

You have almost exactly the same short list as us. I worked with someone who has a ds called Jude, as a small child he called himself dude which is really adorable. It's a name suitable for a child and adult.

Georgina1975 · 31/05/2014 23:39

Love it...love Arlo too.
