Have been considering rosemary for dd6 due in 3 weeks now wondering if Rosanna might be a prettier alternative

Much prefer Rosanna.

insanityscatching · 31/05/2014 07:29

I love Rosanna but don't really like Rosemary. I have a Rosie myself.

mummybare · 31/05/2014 07:36

They are both very pretty names but I think Rosanna just edges it for me.

Guin1 · 31/05/2014 09:45

Another vote for Rosanna.

SquallyShowers · 31/05/2014 10:02

Love Rosanna

brackengirl · 31/05/2014 10:09

I have a Rosanna, it's my absolute favourite name- sounds gorgeous, easy to say, spell and not too popular (although this is the second thread to mention it this week.) I have had only compliments and although the child in question is throwing an epic tantrum as mean mummy requires her to wear shoes when she plays outside I still love it and would recommend it to anyone!

OublietteBravo · 31/05/2014 10:14

I prefer Rosanna to Rosemary, but both are perfectly nice names, so you can't really go wrong.

DramaAlpaca · 31/05/2014 15:17

Love Rosanna.

Rosemary is growing on me dd will arrive on our wedding anniversary and rosemary is associated with love remembrance faithfulness so maybe appropriate .

I know a 3 year old called Rosanna. She is gorgeous and her parents call her Zanna or Zanni for short, which really suits her.

HenriettaTurkey · 31/05/2014 17:32

...although I'd dispute the 'easy to spell' thing. I know a few people misspell it 'Roseanna'

CocktailQueen · 31/05/2014 17:33

Have a dn Rosanna - love it. Nn Rose, Rosie, etc.

RedNosedClone · 31/05/2014 17:43

Lovely name with great scope for nicknames. Also like Rosemary.

turdfairynomore · 31/05/2014 17:49

And she'd have a Chris de burgh song written especially for her! That could be either a positive or negative! Though his rosanna did go on to become miss world I think?? Obviously didn't get too many of his genes!!

marthabear · 01/06/2014 11:52

Chris De Burgh? Really? I thought it was Toto.
Love Rosanna. NN Annie.

PunkAssMoFo · 01/06/2014 12:22

A trillion times better. Rosanna is beautiful & sassy.

Rosemary is a dull wallflower.

HenriettaTurkey · 01/06/2014 13:14

Yup - I'm pretty sure it's Toto too. Smile

Alita7 · 01/06/2014 13:38

I like rosanna better too :)

turdfairynomore · 01/06/2014 15:21

Chris de burgh wrote a song for his newborn daughter. It's called "For Rosanna". Toto did one too. Different songs.
