I love Darcy for a boy but it seems to be a girls name around here lately which i'm not so keen on.

Thanks for the replies.
Thinking of it for a girl, but am in two minds...

I'm not mad about it although Darcey Bussell has improved its image a bit.

Nocturne123 · 29/05/2014 13:44

Love it for a girl!

manicinsomniac · 29/05/2014 19:27

I like it, especially for a girl.

But maybe that's because I know 2 gorgeous little Darceys (age 2 and 3)

TheWhispersOfTheGods · 29/05/2014 21:22

I love it, as Darcy. It's quite popular now though, I've heard it a fair few times recently aimed at girls under 3.

SomeSunnySunday · 29/05/2014 21:23

I really don't like "modern" names, I very much tend towards the traditional, but for some reason I really like Darcey. I know a lovely, cultured and intelligent (she's a doctor) grown up one.

TheHorseHasBolted · 29/05/2014 21:32

I know a girl Darcy (actually I'm not sure which way she spells it) who's about 4, but I still think of it as more of a boy's name.

sherbetpips · 29/05/2014 21:34

Really wanted this name for my DS but then my husband looked it up and found a name translation that said it meant spawn of the devil!

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 29/05/2014 21:36

I know 2 girls, one darcey and one darci
I like it for a girl but not with an I

TheIslingtonImp · 30/05/2014 10:55

Thanks for the thoughts. I think I really like it, and I'm a big fan of Ms Bussell. Glad to know I'm not alone in liking it, because my family are a bit Hmm

I loved it until someone on here put Arsey Darcey I couldn't forget it and it put me off which really annoyed me because other than than I think it's lovely
