Nicknames for Angela

If next baby is dd would like to call her Angela grandmother. I like the name, but can't imagine a little girl called Angie/Ange.

Any suggestions would be great x

I think Angie is quite cute for a little girl! I imagine her with red, curly hair :).

My daughter may not be the only Ela (although hers is short for Gabriela)

Ela can also be short for Elzbieta (= Polish version of Elizabeth)

Short names for Angela:

Anya/Anja
Gela (Jay-lah)

There is also Angelika/Angelica

It will be Ange or Angie.

Personally I think Angie is better than any of the other suggestions.

Ange,Angie or only slightly possibly Annie.

My aunt Angela has always been known as Gigi as this is what her brother shortened it to as a child.

DD1 (5yo) is Angie.

I know a student called Anjali, who gets called Anj, pronounced like Ange. I always imagined it would sound dated but it doesn't, it's lovely and quite "sassy" as squoosh said.

I know an Angelina who goes by Angie and I always think it sounds very cool whenever I say/hear it!

I was at school with an Angela known as Pangie.

I think angie is cute :) I watched a tv series where there was a little girl called angelica ( and no it wasn't rugrats!) but I always thought It was lovely and they called her angie
