Eleanor Rose (we would call her Nell) and Rose Frances (Rosie), what other girls names would I like for DC2? Also adore Harriet, Martha and Xanthe, but DH not keen...

DC1 is William Peter, surname is a fairly common two syllable name starting with A

We have Rosie Eleanor on our short list for dc3 Smile and ds has one of your boy's names. Other names i like are charlotte elizabeth, (poss lottie), ava, hannah, laura. Eleanor and frances are timeless, classic names i think. Calming somehow (planning career for dc3 as foreign diplomat...) i will watch suggestions with interest too!

Great suggestions - I've always lived Marianne but worried about it being pronounced like Marion, which I'm not so keen on.

Daisy - your names list is very similar to mine (and it even includes my own name!)

Like your names - Nell is v pretty. Only problem is that people might assume Eleanor would be Ellie - you might have to do a lot of correcting for the first few years! I know a little girl called Fenella - lends itself to Nell?

How about:-
Alice
Sophia
Florence
Annabel
Louisa
Helena

Mabel
Elspeth
Henrietta (Hetty)
