Personally not too sure about Phoebe Bella because of the 2 B sounds next to eachother. Phoebe June is nice, and Bella June is nice!

Molotov · 15/05/2014 21:48

Agree, too many B-B sounds with Phoebe Bella June. I love just Bella June, though Smile Phoebe June is nice.

justhayley · 15/05/2014 21:53

Thank you both.
I'm not sure if the double B sound bothers me or I actually like it.
Definitely ( well I think definitely ) want Phoebe as a first name and June is my Nan's name so that's going in as well. Want 2 middle names as June isn't really to our taste but has sentimental value

Ella instead of Bella?

Ninjacat · 15/05/2014 22:20

Initials PBJ makes me think Peanut butter & jelly ;-)

It doesn't flow very well does it. Not keen on the name Phoebe, maybe that's what's putting me off.

Jemimapuddleduk · 16/05/2014 08:46

Love the middle name June- so pretty and fresh.
I like Phoebe Bella June.
What about Phoebe Willow June?
I know a Phoebe Willow and I think it flows beautifully

Only1scoop · 16/05/2014 08:48

Doesn't flow well but to be honest....you'll call her Pheobe the other two names will never probably be used in real life other than on forms....and it's not awful.

Writerwannabe83 · 16/05/2014 09:08

Any name that has the initials BJ in it are a no-no in my eyes.

My DH's name has a BJ in it and said it was a nightmare throughout school with everyone taking the mick. Just something to think about.

cowbiscuits · 16/05/2014 13:09

Could you have June Bella instead of Bella June?

Agree Phoebe Bella doesn't work repeating the B sound

June is nice it deserves to come back into fashion it's very pretty and has nice connotations as June is a lovely time of year.

But really- as Only1scoop says - we spent ages choosing DS a middle name that flowed right with his first and last name and it never gets used. Making sure your first name and surname flow right is far more important.

I am considering Phoebe for my next (hyperthetical) child.
Phoebe June
Phoebe Jane
Phoebe Jean
Phoebe Joan

Phoebe Rose is soooo pretty. I LOVE Rose as a middle name I don't care how many people use it.
all sound nice

skinmysunshine · 16/05/2014 13:12

I love June - think it's a lovely name.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 16/05/2014 13:26

I like Phoebe Bella June. The double B sound seems fine to me. How about Phoebe Lola June? Similar sound, but with an L obviously Grin.

devoncreamtea · 16/05/2014 15:03

I reckon you should scratch your plan of 2 middle names. Phoebe is a beautiful name and June has sentimental value that is important to you (it's also pretty cool I think!). I think that's it, that's your name - Phoebe June.

When I had my 1st daughter (now 11) I had such a nightmare with her name - I gave her her 1st name and her Dad really wanted his fave name in there too, so that was middle name. I wanted to use 'May' because that was the month of her birth and consequently now very special for me. So she ended up with 3 names, which now - 11 years on feels a bit clunky. I now wish I'd gone with her 1st name (my choice) and second name (dad's choice). Her 1st name is the one that counts, that defines her and suits her perfectly. Her second name is sentimental (in my case her dad's fave, in yours your Nan's name). I think that works - no one really bothers about middle names too much after the 1st few months, but it so lovely for you to honour your relationship with your Nan in that way.

I'd go for it - gorgeous name on all fronts!

justhayley · 16/05/2014 21:22

Thanks all.
Oh gosh I never saw the BJ initials think I'll have to scrap Bella, I can see that being a nightmare during her teens lol.
I do like the flow/sound of Phoebe June but feels strange using a name that isn't one I love.
I also love Phoebe Rose. It is a silly popular middle name, but it's also really pretty and feminine with the classic feel that's it strong as well. If I wasn't using June she would definitely be Phoebe Rose.

If you like Bella, how about Phoebe Arabella June or Phoebe Annabelle June? Still incorporating the Bella/Belle bit, but flows better to my ear.

dancinggerald · 20/05/2014 19:40

justhayley · 20/05/2014 21:27
