You could expand a bit to Evander.

Will try to think of others.

Avan and Rivan look SO made up, sorry. Can I ask why you want Van names but Evan (which is really quite nice) is no good?

Leeds2 · 11/05/2014 11:34

There was a Kavan at my DD's primary. He was from an Indian family.

ToffeeJungle · 11/05/2014 12:02

I also know of a Cavan.

Evan is pretty cool, shame you've ruled it out.

Donovan??

Pebbles0934 · 11/05/2014 12:06

My partner's cousin has an Evan.... It also reminds me of the women's clothes shop..!

Thanks for your suggestions though... Some I hadn't discovered yet!

I really like just Van to be honest but I was ridiculed on here for suggesting it

Ruthven is a male or female Scottish name prounounced RIVn.
Basically the same was as the OP but a different spelling.

It is a Scottish place name that is sometimes used as a forename although it is not very common

Takver · 11/05/2014 12:44

I know a small Afan - Welsh name & pronounced A (a as in apple) van as f makes a v sound in Welsh. Afan was a Celtic saint, I think.

ZacharyQuack · 11/05/2014 12:49

Kevan
