A sibling for George

I like Barnaby but suspect I'll have an uphill battle with that one and DH. His preference is Henry - my concern is that it's too popular.

Classic/old fashioned suggestions welcome. Thank you!

I should add - we know it's a boy (though everyone thinks we didn't find out...)

I have a Henry and if DC2 had been a boy he would have been called George Smile

DC2 was a girl though!!

P.S I only know of one other Henry so not that popular around here.

William
Hugo
Sam??

George and Henry sound perfect together so that gets my vote

I love Edward and its associated nns but it's DH's name so we've earmarked it for the middle name instead.

James and William are nice ideas. Are we just being really boring though by sticking to these combos? Typically I love so many girls names!

I'm biased as I have a Barney but it's such a lovely name I would go for that. Only ever had positive comments about it and I love it more and more as time goes on.

We are expecting DC2 and really struggling for a boys name that is not too popular and that we love just as much.

How about Arthur, Alfred, Seth, Isaac, Jasper?

George & Henry sound great
Also like Barnaby (nn Barney)

twinjocks · 29/04/2014 21:02

William - but shorten to Billy - George and Billy sounds lovely, I think.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think Barney is lovely - I can just sre the look on my mother's face, though. Not that she hasn't already had her crack at baby naming.

Henry is lovely with George, too, as is Billy. I guess it'll come down to how brave we're feeling at the time of arrival and what he looks like. Ok, they all kind of look the same, but George was definitely a George from the moment we laid eyes on him.

Funny how we get so worked up about this stuff.

I know a Barnaby and think it's a cool name.

What about Alexander - love the fact that this can become Alex, Xander, Lex and Sasha?
