What else would we like? I'm just worried as it's so popular - I wanted something slightly less common (but not weird). I wanted Flora but DH isn't budging on saying it reminds him of margarine

I have only met two Emily under 5s, & there aren't any in my DD's year at school. In fact I can't think of any in the whole infants although I might be wrong. I don't think it's that popular, just use Emily!

Agreed. Emily doesn't seem to be nearly as popular as it used to be. What with everyone trying to find something a bit "different" it seems to have faded into the background somewhat. I love it myself!

I have an Emily who is 8. She is the eldest of my 4 children and we only know one other who is 4 years younger. My other girls are Olivia and Isabella (Bella). We also liked Lucy, Phoebe, Charlotte, Eloise and Florence.

Thanks everyone DH has vetoed all other suggestions so I think we'll stick with Emily. I love a lot of the others you've suggested but he is ridiculously picky!
