Would you pronounce it Fay-bian or Fab-ian?

And what do you think of it?

Fay-bian.

I know a 7 month old one. I don't like the name.

PartyConfused · 10/04/2014 20:53

Fay-bian. I have taught 2! One a boy and one a girl (all though I think spelling was different slightly for girl).

Both lovely kids.

DramaAlpaca · 10/04/2014 20:53

Fay-bian.

Not keen on it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2014 20:54

Fay-bian. I like it.

I would pronounce it Fab-ian becasue I knew few at school (think they were all swiss-German origin)

I like it a lot - I knew 2 boys and a girl.

NurseyWursey · 10/04/2014 20:56

Fab-ian

It reminds me of a Teen Romance Vampire novel

Fay-bee-un

I only know one and when he was born my initial thought was "ooh, that's interesting but quite effeminate". I was a teenager though and knew nothing! He was a very cool kid and is now a very lovely, very cool guy in his mid-twenties. I think it's a great name and it's suited him at every age. Smile

Fab-ian. Great name!

The girls version is Fabienne with the emphasis on the -enne. Very different.

Forago · 10/04/2014 21:25

yes i think that is exactly how I remember it from Switzrland - boys = fabeeun, girls fabee-en

Great name - really like it.

meditrina · 10/04/2014 21:26

Fay-bi-u

I quite like it, but see it as a very PC, Guardian reading sort of name (Fabian Society etc).

Fay-bee-un.

I like it a lot.
