jack or gregory?

Ok we can't decide between 2 names we know his middle names will be vincent arthur g.... but we can't decide on a first name! We both love these names I know a few jacks but no gregorys I know of no jacks my sons age but still unsure, my other sons name is George and really want sumthing to go with it my mum and h2b have both said william but I think its a bit to royal?

Both are great.

Greg edges it, simply because it is a bit more unusual.

Gregory is terrible, Greg is slightly less terrible.

Go with Jack.

Gregory is a lovely name.

George and Jack sound too similar with the shared soft 'g' sound.

Really like Gregory - cool classic underused name.

Thankyou last night gregory was edging it! We were talking to bump and saying names out loud which was nice them written down and hearing them is so different, also I think we were waiting for a kick of approval from bump, which never happened!

I prefer Jack but not with George (too similar sounding).
Saying that I would rule out Gregory with George too as wouldn't want brothers with the same initial (but that could just be me!)

I've a,ways liked Gregory or Greg, I do like Jack too, but think it's been a bit over popular over the last few years. Definitely Gregory for me

Jack all day long. Gregory is a name I associate when a man in his fifties. Jack suits males of every age - babies, toddlers, boys and men. A good, strong name that can't be messed with.

I think Jack and George go beautifully together. Something else to consider - if you go for Gregory, your boys will have the same initials. Confusing when they're older and receiving mail.

Hmm true as both boys will have the vincent name my eldest would be GSVG and youngest GVAG, this is difficult! Might go for uncles suggestion and call him balthazar!

There are sooooo many Jacks these days so for that reason alone I would. Go with Gregory or as I'm not having any more how about Peter or Paul? I love simple names.

I'm struggling with Gregory these days- my dcs pronounce it as 'gory' with 'gre' in front due to somewhat weird/unpleasant adult acquaintance with that name (and I find it hard not to giggle as it is quite fitting). Sorry not fair on you op, but highlights how kids can twist things.

Thanks everyone! With ds we knew by now and when we had 20 week scan we could actually come out saying his name! Think this one will be ever knkw as wiglet! My mum says arthur for a first name instead of middle name now
