Hi all!

Expecting Ds2 who will be a brother to Edward. Middle names are already sorted (James William) and are not suitable as first names due to close family members having them. So, that just leaves us to decide between our top two names. Would welcome feedback,

Thomas James William
Or
Alexander James William

Thanks!

Alexander

DiamondsAndRust · 01/04/2014 18:34

Alexander James, partly because it's my brother's name and partly because IMO it's more interesting and versatile than Thomas.

cakeymccakington · 01/04/2014 18:34

ha! since when was there ever a unanimous response in baby names? lol

Onesleeptillwembley · 01/04/2014 18:39

Another Alexander here. Grin

Sundaedelight · 01/04/2014 18:50

Please not ANOTHER Thomas!

Armadale · 01/04/2014 18:53

Alexander here too! And I think Alexander James William is a lovely combination

miffybun73 · 01/04/2014 18:54

Going against popular opinion on here, definitely Thomas.

There is a reason that it's popular - it's a lovely name.

I don't mind Alexander, but think that Alex is just awful.

GoooRooo · 01/04/2014 18:59

Alexander (and I like 'Alex' too) :)

muminthecity · 01/04/2014 19:04

Alexander for me - totally influenced by the fact that all of the Thomas' I've taught have been a bit 'challenging' to say the least, whereas my little Alex's have always been a delight. Grin

I hope my highly scientific research has helped Wink Grin.

Delphiniumsblue · 01/04/2014 19:11

MadameJosephine · 01/04/2014 19:16

Forago · 01/04/2014 19:17

Both very popular, Thomas more so though. Definitely Alexander

Surf25 · 01/04/2014 21:00

Alexander

Sparklysilversequins · 01/04/2014 21:05

Alexander definitely

Fidds · 02/04/2014 14:28

Alexander and if he wants to be a bit different when older he can be called Xander.

ThatsMyOnlyShirt · 02/04/2014 14:37

Alexander. It is DH's name so I am biased. Good for NN's as well. Xander already mention but also Sandy, Alec & obvs Alex.

rachel234 · 02/04/2014 14:56

I find both Alex and Tom a little dull but also prefer Alexander over Thomas.

DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2014 15:03

Alexander
