Name to fall in love with for DS

Im 24 weeks and trying to find a name to fall in love with for DS. We are both British but DP's surname is Spanishy sounding starts with S and three syllables ending in on. So want something that sounds good with that, and is also a strong English name, but not too popular. I got tired of being one of three in my class at school!

Current shortlist is

Oscar (like the sound and sounds good with surname but don't want anything too trendy. how many Oscars do you know?)

Isaac

Joseph (love the sound but don't really like nn Joe)

Saul (can't decide if this sounds good or bad with surname)

Have also considered Felix, Gabriel, Jasper.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Arnold and Augustus are family names on DP's side but don't really like Arnie or Gus as likely nns! Michael is another family name and possible middle name.

Thanks guys.. all really helpful. Unhelpfully i keep thinking of girls names i love like Miranda and Susannah but that is not helping much! Does anyone know if Gabriel typically gets shortened to Gabs..? That was the nickname the only Gabriel i knew went by and don't like it too much.

Louis flows well but i think bit confusing as sounds French, our surname sounds Spanish and we are neither.

Any other thoughts on names I could consider wd be fab. Names which end in a vowel/open sound seem to flow better with our surname as it ends in -on so e.g. Reuben, Quentin don't work as well.
