Middle name help - OH wants it to be some kind of 'musical' name?

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with a little girl - first name will probably be Cleo, but need middle name help.

My OH completely loves music and wants a middle name that means something connected to music/lyrics/sound, and we can't come up with anything not too odd. At the moment the contenders are Lyra or Sonata, but not really convinced by either. Any help much appreciated!

My first thought was Allegra. Great name.

Cataline · 20/03/2014 22:27

I love Cadence !!

JacqueslePeacock · 20/03/2014 22:27

Cleo Cecilia sounds lovely.

Limakilobravo · 20/03/2014 22:29

Mentioned above, I love cadence

strongandlong · 20/03/2014 22:31

Cecilia sounds good with Cleo, and not at all car like Smile

strongandlong · 20/03/2014 22:32

Crossed post with Jacques Smile

Applefallingfromthetree2 · 20/03/2014 22:35

Cecilia-lovely!

Twighlightsparkle · 20/03/2014 22:38

Allegra is very close to allegro ( car in the 1970's) combined with cleo may sound car themed.

Clara (Schumann)
Perhaps not Viola if there is a chance that she'll be an orchestral player - they are the butt of jokes. Sad

HanSolo · 20/03/2014 22:41

Terpsichore- muse of dancing and choral music

Calypso
Melody
Lux? (as in Aeterna)
Gloria
Agnes (Dei)

Okay, I'll stop now Grin

I second Euterpe.

Although Cleo Euterpe works better if you are a history enthusiast.

Cezella · 21/03/2014 00:13

I think Cleo Viola is lovely!

Wolfgang

Mozart had a beloved sister, Maria Anna. Think she was known as Marianne/Marianna. Some other options there?

casawasa · 21/03/2014 00:22

Another vote for Cecilia the patron saint of music. If I'd had a dd that would have been my first choice!

If he likes Mozart particularly, perhaps use something associated with him rather than just a generic musical reference. His wife was Constanza wasn't it? Or how about a character name from one of his operas?

ilovewoollyandtig · 21/03/2014 08:31

Thanks - some of these have gone on the short list to mull over for a few days.

I like Aria, Melody, Symphony, Musette, Rhapsody. And Jubilee. It was my fave since 12 week scan, but OH has vetoed.

Also love Cadence, but I don't really like first and second names starting with the same letter (for no good reason really), but if Cleo bites the dust eventually then it may be a possibility.

There's a few I like but they are very similar to one of my other girls first/second names

KYRIE!!! One of my absolute faaaaaave names :) wouldn't use it as a first name though as people would always pronounce it to rhyme with Kylie. It's kind of more Kerry-ay. It's soooo pretty :)

PicardyThird · 21/03/2014 09:07

Cleo Cecilia is stunning.

Mozart connection: Pamina?

florascotia · 21/03/2014 09:23

Andante has a pretty sound...

beela · 21/03/2014 09:54

Belle?

bluebelle2662 · 21/03/2014 10:29

Aria? Cadence (though not sure it goes particularly well).

bluebelle2662 · 21/03/2014 10:30

Oh, balls, sorry, missed the post where you'd mentioned these!
