Hiya just found out I'm having a little girl Smile
DS is Noah - what would you call his little sister?
Love the name Phoebe but want some other options.

Like quite feminine names and surname is two syllables and starts with H.

Thank you x

Esme. I don't know why. It just seems to go nicely with Noah.

I have a Noah but he has a little brother so not much help. If it had been a girl I loved Coco, Lucy, Phoebe and Eliza.

I do however know another Noah - his little sister is Nelly. And no, I've never been brave enough to ask about the Skylark! Grin

Noah and Phoebe are gorgeous together! I also like Noah and Kitty or Noah and Polly!

Mrsfrumble · 11/03/2014 01:46

I wanted to call DS Noah it sounded crap with DH's last name. Phoebe was on my 'girl' list too, although DD ended up a Martha. Also on the list were Thea, Miriam, Imogen and Audrey.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I thought it would be easy naming a girl as there's so many lovely names, but now I'm having one there are TOO many lovely names!

I don't want to settle on one before she arrives but would like a short list of maybe 3-5 and then see which suits her the best.

As much as I like Phoebe I'm just not sure if it's 'the one'. I do however LOVE the meaning so don't think I'll shake it off. It means 'bright & shining' This pregnancy started off as twins, & when I had my first scan the sonographer said 'sac A is bright & Shinning however sac B is quite Dull'. We ended up losing "sac b" at 9 weeks. So Phoebe has a personal meaning to me.

Phoebe is a really lovely name - sounds great with Noah and has a personal meaning to you - perfect! You need look no further imo!

It's a name that will serve her well through life and works well on baby/child/adult. So sorry to hear about the loss of the 2nd twin, but congratulations on your pregnancy. Here to a healthy 20 weeks ahead! Smile

Or anything else from the Old Testament, really. Or I suppose you could go with an animal or nautical theme....

Though of course they don't have to go together at all.
