Fraser, Owen or something else...

Found out we're having a boy.

Finding boys names a million times harder than girls.

Only two on the list so far are Fraser and Owen, leaning slightly more towards Owen at the minute.

Any suggestions of others we may like?

Owen was on my list for DS3, others I liked at the time were;
Evan, Drew, Quinn, Zak, Toby, Rory

not top 10 but normal and short....

Both of those are great names! Are you looking for a Scottish name?

Vote for Fraser here too - DH's name.

Tobleronester · 16/03/2014 18:23

Thanks for the replies, not particularly wanting a Scottish name, think it is just coincidence they are the only names I like!

DP's favourite name is Alfie but i'm not keen at all.

Love Patrick and Alistair but they have been veto'd unfortunately.

Really struggling with boys names, we had a girls name all picked out and sorted!

We do like shortish, strong names that are quite traditional but not too common.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated, still no closer to a decision.

Oops! Don't know what happened there!

I love Owen! And also Eoin, and Euan and Ewan...love them all!

Tobleronester · 16/03/2014 20:05

not keen on Euan/ Ewan for some reason. Other names that I like but can't use for one reason or another are Nathan, Aaron, Seth, Vincent, Rowan, Jago and Dexter.

Still leaning slightly more towards Owen but DP is more enthusiastic than I am. Starting to think the name I want doesn't exist.

Thank you for all your suggestions, Lots to consider!

Oran? Was the saint who travelled with St Columba around Scotland. Lovely name not to overused and sounds like Owen.
