Please help me make a shortlist!

We had such a nightmare naming our second son and settled on something neither of us really loved. I don't want to make the same mistake with this pregnancy so please tell me what you think of these names and any ideas you have along these lines. We have a very romantic surname so can't have anything too feminine or eccentric.

I like all the girls names except Milla, sorry but reminds me of milia.
I like Kit out of the boys list, sounds a bit bit Enid Blyton but in a good way.

Congratulations! Some lovely names there. It seems like you prefer classy names (apologies if this offends!) and Milla doesn't seem to fit. Alba was the make of my stereo in the '90's! But I know an Alba and everyone likes her name.

Love the rest of the names though. Good luck picking!

I like all the girls names, but my favourite is Alba. I like Leonard and Kit from your boys list.

Milla is my favourite! Thea is nice too. Elsie is very old lady- what about Elsa or Elise? For boys Seth is nice or Llewyn. Rafferty is a bit daft.

Roe - the reproductive bits of a fish??

NadiaWadia - is it really? Thank you for telling me. We just liked the sound and simplicity of it. Any other three or four letter boys names along these lines? I think Thea is my favourite girls name but my husband does sometimes pronounce 'th' as 'f' which might be a problem. The idea for Milla came from someone called Camilla and it was shortened to that. I really liked the sound of it but I know there are quite a lot of Milas (Mee La) around now so might get confusing. Thanks for the suggestions so far, all things we like but can't use etc etc so keep them coming!

What about Lowen? Its a Cornish boys name. Also used as Lowenna for a girl, but I find this a bit of a mouthful. Similar to Rowan.

Thank you Clargo. I have never heard Jowan before, I think I like it, had considered Joa too.

I really like Leo and my much missed mum's star sign was Leo so would be nice, dh not keen though (although might be persuaded!).

Rufus nice too. I think you get my taste! Any more ideas? I am just assuming I will have a boy because I've had two but need girls names too.
