Zane?

I have a son called Saul.

Ds2 I'm considering Zane.

I don't like names you can shorten, and wanted something a little different to "traditional" names, yet one that is a "proper"name.

I kind of like it that they are both Hebrew too.

I don't think it's as nice as Saul personally. What about
Jed or Beau or zeke

My favourite boys names are Sid and frank

I like it. On the right side of different without being too out there.

Love Zane , it was between that and the actual name i ended up using for my son

I think Saul and Zane go really well together without sounding remotely alike.

Bloody zayn from one direction has ruined it for me though. Would piss me off when people spell it wrong and assume that's why I've chosen the name.

Yeah I didn't think of 1D! Hopefully their "audience" is too young for it to have an influence on ds2!

Zayn is the traditional Arabic name. Zane is a traditional Hebrew name. Neither is wrong or quirky.

I looked after a gorgeous Zane once, adore the name.

I like it and wouldn't connect it all with 1D.

I love it! I wouldn't have thought of 1D, but maybe that's because I am too old for them.

I wouldn't think One Direction either but anyway, surely that would only be a problem if you had more than one child with a One Direction name?

I only know a Zain spelling wise, although I prefer the spelling Zane. Nice sounding name.
