One of DD's best friends is a Byron. I love it and I know his mum has has lots of compliments on the name.

Theonlyoneiknow · 17/02/2014 20:07

I love it, wish I had thought if it for DS, especially as the poet went to my old school

RonaldMcDonald · 17/02/2014 20:09

I know a lovely Byron, excellent choice

peppapigmustdie · 17/02/2014 20:11

Love it.

StopSquabbling · 17/02/2014 20:14

I love, love it.

Artandco · 17/02/2014 20:14

I like it but it reminds my of Byron burger restaurant chain which I walk past daily

Deb2202 · 17/02/2014 20:20

Love it, great name and makes me think of Byron bay in oz which brings back fantastic memories and is quite cool.

What could it be shortened to? I always think that, By?

My friend called her little girl April and she's lovingly know as baby ape, she didn't see that one coming.

Alisvolatpropiis · 17/02/2014 23:09

I like it in theory.

However the weedy adult Byron I met some time ago put me off. Just the least aptly named person I have come across since Lord Adonis and in the latters defence Adonis is his surname!

AHardDaysWrite · 17/02/2014 23:13

I've taught two and they were both really badly behaved. Put me off the name big-time.

LizzieVereker · 17/02/2014 23:14

"Mad, bad and dangerous to know?"

Not sure that that is the pedigree you're looking for... Wink Actually, I rather like it.

Selks · 17/02/2014 23:36

Don't like it, sorry.

StopSquabbling · 17/02/2014 23:39

It's funny that Byron is cool and yet Bryan would be unanimously hated.

5madthings · 17/02/2014 23:44

Byron is nice, it ws the name of a baby in home amd away, mr fishers som, he was the head teacher and ot was him and hsi wifes baby. In the prog the baby got liver cancer and died :( thays probably not helpful sorry.

But its a nice name :)

aGirlDownUnder1 · 18/02/2014 03:42

Lovely name, and Byron of Home and Away was a lovely baby :D

cjdamoo · 18/02/2014 04:21

My favorite boys name of all time. Unfortunately despite having 4 boys I have never used it as its just stupid with my surname

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/02/2014 04:42

Loads of Byrons round my way , due to his connection with the local area.

singaporeswing · 18/02/2014 06:11

I love the name Byron. Would love to use it but DP is Australian and has vetoed it.

squoosh · 18/02/2014 11:34

I love it.

CaptainCunt · 18/02/2014 11:47

I love it but Bye?

HyvaPaiva · 18/02/2014 11:49

I don't like it at all, sorry OP!

lljkk · 18/02/2014 11:50

I don't like it, I know one about 7yo. Could do worse.

Leeds2 · 18/02/2014 12:27

I would be concerned that people would think he was called Bryan.

squoosh · 18/02/2014 12:31

It would indeed be very distressing to be suspected of being someone who'd burden an innocent child with Bryan.
