Girl's name suggestions please

24 weeks pregnant with pink bump after 3 miscarriages Smile Original suggestions that she be called Clexane (after the meds I was on) will really not do!
I have 2 boys with top 50 fairly traditional biblical names, we are Christians so whilst it doesn't have to be biblical we have good associations with those names.

I like Miriam and Elizabeth (Libby) at the moment. DH likes Bryony. Our boys have a middle name after great grandparents, but for girls that gives us Margaret, Nellie, Christine and Helen, and none of them have lived long enough to be a feature in our lives, never mind the great-grandchildren.
I like Iris as a middle name - it means 'rainbow' but would not use it as a first name as we have a small acquaintance called Iris.
Surname begins with R so probably discount R names, DH would never let me have Reuben for a boy in case the poor child had a lisp!

Suggestions or comments, please?

Out of im your suggestions I like Elizabeth nn Libby best I know one and she's adorable :)

bakingtins · 11/02/2014 17:57

Thank you everyone. We have Katharine and Hannah in the family. DH's other suggestion is Anna, which I like but is too similar to Hannah. He has suggested Bryony for every pregnancy, can't see the attraction myself.
Ruby, Rebecca and Rachel are out due to surname.
I like Naomi and Abigail so they are possibles, also like Bethany but that is a friend's DD.

I love Phoebe, and Phoebe Iris sounds gorgeous!

BlueStarsAtNight · 12/02/2014 09:40

I vote Phoebe Iris too, shining rainbow :)

bakingtins · 12/02/2014 12:18

Phoebe Iris is indeed gorgeous, we do have a friend with a Phoebe though...will suggest it to DH.
Thanks to cece for the very comprehensive list!
I do worry a bit about the meanings of Miriam, but having looked into it, Miriam in the bible was named as she was born into a time of bitterness, and the 'rebellion' but was her standing up against her oppressors, so not a bad thing at all. It can also mean "longed for child" which seems very appropriate in the circumstances.
Joanna is one I hadn't considered, DH would probably like that since he likes Hannah and Anna. Too close to our niece Hana? I guess would be shortened to Jo or Joey.
I think DH would be more persuadable on Libby though..

Thank you to everyone who has made suggestions or comments, keep them coming!
