I love it and have one that was born in the 90's i was asked alot when she was born if we named her because of friends (we didn't it was just the only name we agreed on). She has always been the only one in both her schools.

Love it. It's my dd's name. No one has ever mentioned Phoebe from friends, but lots of strangers have commented on how lovely the name is.

Dd is 3 and we've come across two other Phoebes- another 3 year old and a baby.

Dd has a family name as her middle name. A couple of posters upthread have suggested Miranda as a middle name- I like it Smile

It would be on my list too but they pronounce it pivi here which I'm not so keen on. Love the suggestions for middle names too.

We are big fans of Elizabeth in our house so my vote goes to Phoebe Elizabeth.

Good luck with the birth.

Just a warning - here in Korea they pronounce it PeeBee - which translates as 'blood rain.' I think it's pretty cool and Valkyrie :)

I know a 6mo and a 40yo.

I know how to spell it and it doesn't make me think of friends.

I think it's quite a dull name.

I love Phoebe that much dd 1 (who is 16 this week) is called it.

But it is popular and your likely to come across others. In infant she was with 2 others in juniors with 1 other & in secondary she is with 3 others over 8 forms..

Its not a biggy imo but it does make me sad it became that popular as when we picked it, it was not so popular (she is named after JD Salingers " the Catcher in the Rye"- friends was only just coming out here when she was born)

I don't know any.

I think it's a great name.

It would have really suited DD....much more than the name we gave her.

I know of one who doesn't like it cos she's the only one in the school. Not a favourite name of mine, just doesn't have a nice ring to it.
