I encountered my first Olesia today at an American bank. DH knows her and believes she is Eastern European but didn't know anymore. I was dying to ask about her name but as we were doing official banky things and she was the professional it didn't seem quite appropriate.

Pretty sounding name and means 'defender/protector of humankind'.
