It could sound a bit like an internet connection.

How is it pronounced? EYElan? ILLan?

I do quite like it, actually.

Innogen · 30/01/2014 12:01

Love it! Ilan was my dissertation supervisor back in the day. I loved him, and by extension I love the name.

It's fab.

sonlypuppyfat · 30/01/2014 12:07

Like it its got a good strong sound to it. I don't like names that end in ie or y.

Wow thanks for the positive opinions...I was bracing myself to be flamed!

I love it but would definitely assume a Jewish heritage - I've never heard of it as a Welsh name

Britishseamonkey · 02/02/2014 23:03

I've never heard I it being welsh. Elan for a girl is the closest welsh name I can think of.
Incidentally I like it a lot!
