Sibling Names that don't "match"?

Never even thought about this until I came on here! But now I'm paranoid that my third child's name is too different to my first two.

Think along the lines of

James
Alice

and

Willow

I haven't ruined their lives have I?!

GrinGrin

I have three DC and DD's name is slightly mid-matched compared to her brothers - if you over think it.

I think it really doesn't matter. Hopefully!

Mis-matched

Aww, thanks (not sure why this thread is on here twice! Confused)

I guess the kids will all have their own lives and families one day! Then it really won't matter :)

I don't think it matters one jot. In actual fact it's more interesting - I used to know siblings called Sharon and Heathcliff which I think are fabulously mismatched.

AngelsInWinter · 22/01/2014 06:55

Haha! Love the description "fabulously mismatched".

I suppose it's just at the other end of the scale as, say... Jack, Jacob, Jenny etc.

I don't think it matters much. I have never heard of another child with DD's name, yet my DS is called James. Though one of the MW after he was born commented on him having a traditional name whilst DD is so unusual.

Rhubarb is right, Sharon and Heathcliff is glorious!

aoife24 · 22/01/2014 15:15

They'll spend most of their lives living independently of each other so it wouldn't bother me.

I know a Tom and Maximilian, (which must never be shortened, orders from his Mummy to school)

Not as good as Sharon and Heathcliff though.
