Simple question - which do you prefer and why?!

OP posts:

Anya is beautiful.

Rachaelandbabysofia · 22/01/2014 15:37

Personally not a fan of the name Sonia, Anya sounds similar so pass. Like the name India but maybe would go for the name Indie?

LadyRochford · 22/01/2014 15:43

What about Ananya? It's even nicer than Anya and its Indian so you sort of get both.

squoosh · 22/01/2014 16:04

Anya is perilously close to Tanya.

mathanxiety · 23/01/2014 01:20

Yes it is. I would choose India.

WordOfTheDay · 25/01/2014 01:41

I have only ever come across German Anyas. I would expect a German connection if I heard that name.

Aaliyah1 · 25/01/2014 01:47

Anya! Smile Have you thought about Anaya?

AGoodPirate · 25/01/2014 08:05

Anya. I agree India is a bit 80s.

Flechas · 25/01/2014 10:13

Anya - it's just lovely but a bit more interesting than Anna

India is only ok. It is a place which is considered a bit naff I think. It's the naff of the future anyway.

Bowlersarm · 25/01/2014 10:14

India

Bonsoir · 25/01/2014 10:14

India.

I don't like the "ya" sound.

Flechas · 25/01/2014 10:14

Interesting squoosh & math, never thought of it as being close to Tanya, always saw it as being close to Anna

What about Andrea ? instead of India. Andrea has a similar sound to India but more longevity.

stinkingbishop · 25/01/2014 10:18

Echo what some posters have said - India only transcends its try hardness if you actually know and love the place. Somewhere you and DP fell in love? Paris, Venice, Bognor...

Aaliyah1 · 25/01/2014 17:01

Since when has India been naff? Hmm
